This was the gig I realised the Black Crowes had past their best. Screeching vocals, ponytails and lumpen rock music - everything that I thought the Black Crowes were against.

It was the first time I'd managed to convince my wife to come along and see one of my favourite bands and I can't imagine they gave a good account of themselves.

To make matters worse, when we left there were police in riot gear fighting off a barrage of abuse. Not nice.
